Terms of service and end-user license agreement

Effective October 12, 2026

These terms govern your use of the MRK Hosting customer portal (the "Portal"), provided by MRK Hosting, a sole proprietorship registered in Illinois ("MRK Hosting", "we", "us"). By signing in to or using the Portal you agree to these terms on your own behalf and on behalf of the customer account you use it for. If you do not agree, do not use the Portal.

1. The Portal

The Portal lets customers of MRK Hosting view and manage the products we provide to them, including domain names, DNS records and website hosting accounts, and view and pay invoices. The hosting and domain services themselves are governed by your agreement with MRK Hosting; these terms cover your use of the Portal.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Portal through a web browser for managing your own account while you remain a customer or an invited user of a customer. You may not copy, modify, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the Portal, or use it to provide services to others. All rights not expressly granted remain with MRK Hosting.

3. Accounts

• Access is by invitation only. Each login belongs to one person; do not share it.
• You are responsible for keeping your password and any authenticator device secure, and for activity under your login.
• A customer's owners decide who may access that customer's account and may remove users at any time.
• Tell us promptly at privacy@mrkhosting.com if you believe your login has been compromised.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• access or attempt to access another customer's data or products;
• probe, scan or test the Portal's security, or interfere with its operation;
• use the Portal for anything unlawful, or to manage content or domains in violation of our hosting terms or the policies of the registrar.

5. Orders and payment

• Domain registrations and renewals ordered through the Portal are invoiced through QuickBooks Online. Prices are shown before you order.
• A domain is registered only after its invoice is paid. Registration is subject to the name's availability and to the registrar's terms.
• Payments are processed by Intuit. Card and bank details are entered on Intuit's pages; the Portal never receives them.
• Refunds, credits and invoice corrections are handled by contacting us and are made in QuickBooks.

6. Changes you make

Changes made through the Portal, such as DNS edits, deleting databases or sites, and changing passwords, take effect at the provider immediately. Some, like deletions, cannot be undone. You are responsible for changes made under your login.

7. Third-party services

The Portal relies on third-party services, including Cloudflare (domain registration and DNS) and Intuit QuickBooks Online (invoicing and payments). Their availability and terms are outside our control.

8. Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue the Portal or any feature at any time. We may suspend access that we reasonably believe threatens the security of the Portal or of other customers.

9. Disclaimer

The Portal is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Portal will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that information shown in it is always current.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MRK Hosting is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the Portal. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Portal is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

11. Termination

Your license ends when your access is removed or your customer relationship with MRK Hosting ends. Sections 9 through 12 survive termination.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Illinois.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The effective date above shows when they last changed, and continued use of the Portal after a change means you accept it.
